Page four. 66% of the pages we had completed. Why only 6 (well, plus a cover)? Most publishers we had looked into that accept(s/ed) submissions usually required 5-6 pages as a sample to get the gist of your ability and show you can a) tell a story and b) your artist can draw sequential art. If you think drawing is just drawing, you’re dead wrong. There are many fantastic artists who excel at covers, pin-ups, posters and prints but that skill doesn’t translate to the storytelling side (and vice versa). It’s not easy; the good ones (and Tony) just make it look that way.  However, as a letterer w/ minimal integrity, i hate myself for making the first panel bubble tangent against the right wall.
